The late Oblate missionary Father Brian Ballard,* who was posted in Smithers, British Columbia, during his ministry, stirs fond memories in Eileen Bouvier, former president of the Prince George diocesan Catholic Women's League.



In mid-1985, I had just been ordained a priest for a little over a year when I found myself, through unusual circumstances, the sole priest in a big-city parish with about 3500 families, in Brampton, Ontario.


Before his death in September of last year, Bishop Robert Clune, bishop emeritus of Toronto and former president of Catholic Missions In Canada, left his last will and testament, with his surviving brother, John, as executor.

The planning and writing of a will is both a family obligation and a personal privilege.
We live in a nation of laws. During all of our lifetime, different laws apply to us.

After serving for twenty years as pastoral minister of St. Francis de Sales mission in God's Lake Narrows, Manitoba, Sister Yvonne Bouchard, s.g.m., has chosen to retire from missionary work.

When parishioners hear the word "stewardship" from the pulpit, they often tend to cringe! In the past, stewardship has often been associated with fundraising.
