Catholic Women's League

CWL logoThe Catholic Women's League of Canada (CWL) has always been a faithful and strong supporter of our Home Missions especially in the area of religious education

CMIC owes the CWL much thanks for their years of support and for helping shape the Missions Partners program the way it is today! The CWL continues to support CMIC through the League's National Catechesis Fund, as well as through direct donations from their local councils and parishes.

Many loyal CMIC supporters are also League members who help spread the good news of missionary work in Canada. The CWL understands that every opportunity we have to inform others that Canada is still a mission country will help promote support for our missions.

or never be done.”

What are Mission Partners?

CWL Mission Partners supports religious education programs in Canada’s missions through donations to the National Voluntary Fund. This funding is designated solely towards catechetical needs in Canada’s missions. These programs rely on support from the Fund for their operation; their success provides the foundation of our faith for generations to come.

CWL: Enduring partnerships with Canada’s missions

Vivian Bosch, CWL National President (2000-2002), adopted the theme “The Open Door” as a call to a new evangelization project for League members to support Canada’s struggling mission church through the work of Catholic Missions In Canada. In 2003, CWL members approved a motion making Catholic Missions In Canada a permanent National Voluntary Fund. Over the past ten years, CWL partners have raised over $200,000 to support religious education programs offered in Canada’s missions.
