Religious education

Catholic Missions In Canada is committed to fund 60 religious education programs for children and adults in 2008.

We will also provide burses that support the sacred formation and education of 40 seminarians in educational institutions across Canada.

"We are deeply grateful for the help Catholic Missions In Canada gives to our work. At present, Sister Anna Stauber and Sister Mary Clare Bednarik minister on the Indian Reservations in the Okanagan Valley. They visit the sick and are involved in educational programs for the First Nations people. The Sisters carry on patiently, joyfully and steadfastly. Their dedication becomes a great strengthening, heartening and supportive sign for all of us. They are powerful witnesses."

Most Rev. Eugene J. Cooney, Bishop of Nelson

Our mission community is in Moricetown, a Witsu Wit’en reserve on Highway 16 between Smithers and New Hazelton, British Columbia. Various opportunities have recently been offered for helping people to heal from abuses suffered earlier in life. The pain carried by many contributes to problems of addictions.
